Where we are: Le Marche is in central Italy and to the west is bordered by Tuscany and Umbria, to the east is the Adriatic Sea. il sorger del sole is located in central Le Marche approximately 15 minutes drive from the beautiful medieval city of Macerata. We are approximately 2 hours drive from Bologna, 3 hours drive from Florence and 3 hours drive from Rome. We are situated on a little used white country road mid way between the villages of Avenale and Troviggiano; both are within walking distance.
We are some 25 minutes from the A14 autostrada and around 30 minutes drive south-west from Ancona/Falconara international airport - following your booking we will e mail directions and location map. Arrivals by train and bus: By train - the nearest railway station is Macerata there is a regular bus service from Macerata to Cingoli. Alight at Troviggiano where we offer guests a free courtesy car service to/from il sorger del sole. From Ancona airport - there is a frequent train service to Jesi and Macerata with regular onward bus connections to Cingoli. We also offer private transfers to/from Ancona airport and local railway stations - please e mail us for details. From Macerata there are onward bus connections to major Italian cities including two buses per day to Rome and train connections to the mainline stations at Ancona and Fabriano. Arrivals by plane:
